Ken M,or anybody else that owns either of these machines.Which one offers the best all around best welding arc on dc,and ac?I am kind of interested in which is the best deal also.By the way,I really liked my Esab 252 ac/dc unit for a nice welding transformer machine.I know a guy that is interested in the Lincoln, and he would like to know what anybody thought about it,and the others. Thanks,Scott

Do you have the Precision Tig 275? If you do what effect does the machine not having a high frequency adjustment have on the welds. That is the only concern I have with that particular machine. Any info would be appreciated.

Rangerod, that should have no effect at all.My Esab 252 didn't have one either. My Inverter only uses hi frequency for starting on ac,or dc.Plus I can use with out.As long as the arc stays going thats enough hi frequency to do the job.I would think about how is the arc is at low amps. Here is a little on the starting from a post from Ken M.

Scott I have a 275 precision tig and love it! I have very little experience with Miller's sow cant help you with the best ARC. But you can't go wrong with either. I think Lincoln have the best control setup and price that is wy I have mine. Besides all the flack you give the hobart forum I don't think they will sell you a miller Rod MI

I don't own a Lincoln, I've got an old Linde, but when it finally craps out Lincoln is top on my list. I spent time with one of their tech guys at a trade show and I was very impressed with their approach to designing their products. Unlike lots of other companies, they seem to really work hard to make their products as good as they can be for their users.

I don't know what happened to Lincoln, because for the longest time they were kind of clunky type machines. Then they tried to buy Esab, and Miller kind of threw a stick in the spokes on that deal. Then it just seem to me that Lincoln has been going nuts.Just building stuff that just blows the Millers away.I bought three of those machines. One was the 305 G engine drive, and the powermig 300.The last one is the sp175 plus.Of course Miller has answered the bell, and brought out the 135/175 mig that couldn't hold Lincolns jock strap in as far as welding arc.I will stay one thing though I really think the 210 miller out classes the 200 powermig, and the 255 Lincoln/251 Miller is a bit better in some areas.I still think the Esab 250 plus is the best 250 hands down. I get it from both sides when I bring up Esabs.Which is exactly where I want to be.

Anyway,I have a feeling that the Lincoln 275 really might be a great machine.Kind of like the other three Lincolns machines.

Rod,all they have to do is built something I like, and I would trade any brand I have for one,but it just has not happened yet for me.I would bet they would love to have me own a Miller, and talk about it like my other machine,or the ones that I like! How about some info??

what is the going $ for the 275 and what features are the most important?

( i would prefer a single phase but others may have 3-phase) what is the advantage/disadvantage of single phase vs three-phase?

How many of you folks weld mostly structural forms and mild steels vs stainless, cast iron, or aluminum, etc.?

I'm sheer you are responsible for selling a few sp175 plus machines for Lincoln.I now if I ever get a MIG I will look into one. It's grate that you give feedback back good or bad on any machine you have tried. When you get your hands on a Lincoln 275 tig please let use now what you think about it. I'm wondering how the Miller stacks up to Lincoln on this one. I cant really amajen the arc being much better then my Lincoln but the Inverters I'm sheer are better yet sow anything is possible Rod
