anybody recognise this mandrel style

Post by aribert »

I bought a small lot of 2 inch dia sanding discs. Please have a look at the disc in the link. I have never seen a mandrel that would fit this disc. I presume the mandrel consists of a short piece of 3mm/.125 dia rod welded perpendicular to the mandrel shaft.

I figured that I would ask (and try to buy a mandrel) before taking the time to build a mandrel.

Hello aribert,

How about one of these as is, or slightly modified. :?:

Thanks - I followed the link and then using the Dewalt nomenclature I was able to find a picture of the sanding discs intended for the mandrel shown in your link (and the discs look the same as mine).
