Hello diyer, :D

My personal opinion, is that you will not find
anyone that will make any rotory brushes metal
or plastic that will run at the speeds you want
even with no load on them, and even lower speeds
with manual hand held inconsistent loading. J.M.H.O.

Carbide dental cutters a solid brushes are not hence the lower rpm rating.

There are brushes with higher copper content for higher amperage in conditions of lower speed for a reason. It is all a balance and delivery is adjusted to the commutator. It has to be a special brush at that speed to deliver the current for speed and not wear the commutators. There is probably theory now which makes motors less understandable. The phase of the brush cvoltageauses a d the field around that higherexpads to the others commutators an voltage which .

Btw, dental turbine mini pencil die grinders operate at 400k, so where are they getting these brushes from if they are not made by anyone?
That would be a good place to inquire - dental equipment supply house.

As you said someone has suggested you slow the speed down, sounds like a good bit of advice to me. At 400k I'm not sure how much brushing action one would get. Seems more like cutting/grinding/melt down of the brush material whatever it may be. At 400k rpm - what do the hand pieces have for bearings? Air? Water?
Just because you don’t believe it - doesn’t mean it’s not so.

When I was a galley slave for industry we had good luck with getting specialty brushes from:

http://www.millrose.com/
7995 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, Ohio 44060 U.S.A.
Toll Free: 800.321.3533
Local: 440.255.9171
Fax: 440.255.5039

They were very helpful and answered all our needs.

The caveat is that we were not looking for high speed brushes so I have no idea about those problems.

High speed dental cutters are carbide , solid to reach such speeds, polishing is done much slower.
