Most now take a standard SATA cable providing everything you need if you have a matching port on your computer. Some port locations are superior for various reasons required to get peak performance, and best followed as rule of thumb, but you'll get a major boost even if yo don't do everything perfect. Just plug them in and hang on...

I'm using several "Hybrid SSD" drives, fast boot and fast load for the most commonly used data with 1Tb & 2Tb capacity.
