Re: Trailer Hitch Weight Ratings
Thanks, guys. It's a 2500 Cummins long bed. Trailering stuff (factory) but no big mirrors.
Every hard-fried egg began life sunny-side up.

Mirrors should flip outwards, counterclock wise, then they are big enough.

My little truck is a 97 Dodge 1 ton, diesel and manual trans. The trailer I use the most right now is a bumper type 14' 14,000gvw dump trailer. the trailer empty is 4500 ish pounds. I have had 9K+ on the trailer and the truck did ok although I really took it easy and ran the back roads. I have a set of air bags I intend to put on the back to help out the springs. iirc the gvwr of the truck is either 12K or 14K. It would be nice to have another 50 or 75hp under the hood but unmodified the 5.9 will run forever, modified you never know.
This was a fair load. Caboose wheel sets going to a machine shop with a lathe big enough to do some journal work on them.
