Amazingly similar parallel pc experiences! I installed another drive to recover from a virus. I will now run a minimum of 2 hard drives!

Just FYI - a friend patented a product which basically switches the power supply to two hard drives (C or D or both). Normally, one drive is powered up and the back up drive is down. When you want to back up, both drives are turned on and the entire drive or just some files are copied. Then, the power to the backup is turned off. The advantage is that a virus can never attack the back up drive when powered down. It's a simple, fast, and inexpensive way to provide another level of virus protection.
