Well....maybe the lathe was equipped with a hydraulic brake system?!?
And a cooling fan??

Well....I couldn't help it. I had to send her a message, and tell her what that stuff really was.

Like the post here a while back, someone pointed out a guy selling a Starrett DTI with a bent needle on fleaBay. I had to tell him too...that if what he was selling was shown in the pic, it wasn't quite 'new'.

Good-I've done that before, when it's obvious it's an estate situation or something they bought in a box & have no idea..."Grandpa had a lathe, so this must go with it"...
