Wow. It'd be something if they could dig out that locomotive.

I agree, but it sounds like the city fathers want to keep it buried.

It should be interesting to follow and see what happens.

About as interesting as watching a glacier melt.

I say it that way because the gears of law and order move slowly, and there must be some that know the history of a hard artifact like the locomotive has historical significance, as many real details are lost to time, irrespective of the written history saved. I think the game is afoot to remove our impetuous entrepreneur from the game, and take control of the site and its relics for similar purposes.

I wish him luck in his persuits. It is said that well controlled people do not make history. Maybe its time to shake up that part of the system.

IMHO, A railroad engine of that era is a very rare find, and should be brought to the light of day. whatever the condition. It could easily be the core of a museum on the subject.
Big Dave, former Millwright, Electrician, Environmental conditioning, and back yard Fixxit guy. Now retired, persuing boats, trains, and broken relics.

Nobody seems surprised that a locomotive was considered useless after a little over a decade of use! I guess we should be glad they don't build them like they used to.

So much for old iron!
