Software Does Not Remember Me

The new software does not remember me at login.

But then, a lot of people try to forget me. This makes me sad.

Are you using chaski.com/homemachinist or chaski.org/homemachinist?

I think I have an idea of what the problem is, but please try to use chaski.org/homemachinist and let me know if that works.

"chaski.org/homemachinist" takes me to the board index. When I receive an e-mail notification of a topic reply, I expect to be taken to the topic reply. For example, the following link, which I received in an auto-notification e-mail, should have taken me to THIS topic and I should have seen YOUR reply, above . . .

Instead, it takes me to the login screen.

If I click on the second link provided in the auto-notification e-mail . . .

I DO get to very top of the correct topic, not to the actual reply.

This is NOT a big deal and could well be my fault. The software will probably "fix itself" as I gain more experience with it! I can deal with it as you accumulate reports from others.

I had the same problem (just remedied it). I was using the .com as opposed to the .org The site remembers me when I return.

I had that kind of problem also. some how I ended up with chaski.com in my favorites. Changed com to org and fixed.
