Walt,
At the top of the main forum index, right hand side, there's a button you can click that says Mark forums read. It's directly above the dark blue line, above the text that says Last post, which, on my monitor, is an orange color. Clicking the Mark forums read should do the trick. Let us know if that is not the case.

Note that you can find the same line to click if you are on the main index of any of the forums, i.e, Live Steam, I.C. Engines, Home Shop CNC Machining, The Home Machinist, etc..
