I have noticed that the first half dozen for so lines of the General Discussion are occupied by permanent items, for reference use.

How about a new heading, maybe "Good Stuff" or "Reference Items" for these types of threads. It would free up the first part of General Discussion for new threads.

That's a good idea. I'll take up the matter with Marty.
Any suggestions on what we might name the new forum? I would think it should reflect on the topics contained within, so those that are not familiar with the board will be lead to them when looking for information.

Yes, I read your suggestion of "Good stuff" or "Reference Items", but I fear that may not attract those seeking advice. Am I nuts? :-)
