New user anti spambot questions

Post by RLWP »

Is it deliberate that the only way to answer the mathematical question is to put in the wrong answer?

Really, shoot! I didn't mean that.

What were you seeing? I seems it is setup correctly...on the other hand..what a way to mess up the spambots!

If you do the sum and put in the answer, the page rejects it saying it is wrong, and the number must be bigger than another number - which is actually the answer!

I must be missing something, sorry.

Here is the problem:

"To discourage spambots, please solve the following math problem. What is 4 + 5?"

Default is 0 so it has to be answer.
If I hit submit I get:

The field “antispam” must be completed.
The value of “antispam problem” is too small, a minimum value of 9 is required.

I put 9 and the only warning is for the other field...
The field “antispam” must be completed.

I think that is working right...I must be missing something.

Don't worry, I must be going nuts. I was sure it asked what's 3+5...

Anyway, I still got through the process, so all is well
