Tube Bender Mod

Post by GlennW »

I needed a 5/16 tube bender, but needed to bend specific size radii, so I bought a standard 5/16" lever bender which had too small a raduis.

Took a few dimensions and whittled out a couple of new dies with the radii I needed.

A little mill work and they are good to go.

Needed a pair of shoulder bolts, so 304 ss was handy.

Hex 'em, then back to the lathe for a couple of chamfers and they are done.

Make a few steel links to tie the shoe to the dies and the parts are ready.

Assembled and bending.
