Modern Ignition Coils of the COP type

COP (Coil Over Plug) are much smaller than conventional coils, therefore attractive for models.
Which beg the question...

Are they used in a conventional Kettering system or are they driven by Capacitive Discharge System?

MAY be a good explanation,they are could benefit from improve d insulation and lower duty cycle.
