TimeSavers Grits for Lapping

Post by gwrdriver »

I have a friend who has written me for a recommendation of lapping compound grits, specifically TimeSavers, for finishing off the crankshaft and con rod journals for his SEAL engine project. I've done quite a bit of lapping, but not on miniature IC engines, and I'm familiar with TimeSavers as a product but not with their grits. I 'd like to to have suggestions for the right grits to use for such a job, to pass along to my friend. For anyone not familiar with it the SEAL engine - http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/sealeng.htm
