Has anyone out there built the Burns & Horner Reid Gas engine?

Jeff: Check out the Smokstak message board and somebody over there can probably help you out. Just do a search for SmokStak, or, you can check out the O.F.E.S. (Oil Field Engine Society) website too. Both cater to what you're asking. I am the proud owner of a Reid 15 hp oilfield engine. I don't know much about the Horner kits, but I've heard they are of high quality and well made. I hope this is of some help to you.
