Source of small diameter pistons and rings

Post by Bob Doris »

I have an IC project in mind and am seeking a source of pistons and rings in the neighborhood of 1 to 1 1/8 inches in diameter. Any help would be appreciated.

You could also check out repair parts for string trimmers as several are in the 24-30mm diameter range. If you go with commercial trimmer parts, most use two piston rings in an aluminum piston. Wrist pins rin around 8-10mm and most have needle bearings available for the connecting rods.

Small rings>>> Check Otto gas engine, they should have what you need

Thanks all for the leads. These are new sources for me to investigate.
