What can a person expect if a radial engine is rescaled by 1.5 ?The engine is Lee
Hodgson's 9 cyl radial. Rescaling , the cross sections are squared and the loads are cubed, ok, if this is correct ( or even close ) then what problems immediatly crop up if any? Let's consider Lee's model is scaled at least within design limitations , then if all the parts are factored by 1.5 then the question really is whether the cubed load exceeds the limitations , right? If the engine were scaled down correctly then there shouldn't/ wouldn't be any problems if it is scaled back up....
