First model engine - American Machine CO Hot Air Engine

Post by myrickmachine »

I normally work on the real thing (full size engines) but thought I'd give this a try. Still have the plumbing coming and to make a water tank. Wow- I had no idea how many gazillion hours are in these things until I did it myself. Did most of it during December. The color shown by Wade Eisner is orange, but I hate orange. This is painted a textured meduim gray which makes the sanded surfaces appear cast. All the bolts are made from 3/16, 1/4 or 3/8 stainless hex. The picture is while under construction.
