Truly beautiful and thanks for the post. I was looking at it again and it struck me that the "engine stand" appears to be a magnetic base ! incredible.
Edit; At the time i posted that i knew that there are very large Starret bases. It still doesn't make sense the engine would be suspended that way unless to show that is light enough because it was all bored internally. That it was as true inside as outside.

Hi Jack,
Not as elegant as the engine first pictured in this post but nonetheless, my own Chevy version of a running, 1/4" scale, V8 model engine.
Getting there slowly with the camshaft and valve train left to complete...
