just looking for links to British steam casting manufactures. mostly interested in detail parts, and smoke box door.

any links would be great.

You should indicate what scale you are modeling, because there are suppliers that only deal in the larger scales, and some that specialize in the smaller stuff.

totally agree on the postage shock...actually it is AIR FREIGHT shock..hardly anyone ships by 'surface freight' any longer.

I have carried 2 foot lengths of 5" copper pipe back from the UK in my luggage because the shipping was 1.5 X the cost of the pipe (which was not cheap).

Heck...I even carried a set of driver castings back for Harry a while back....

Having an office near Reeves and others is VERY convenient.

another supplier that I use for odd-ball size copper pipe (ever try to find 7/16 copper tube for flues?)
