"Have you thought about casting the couplers in plain steel?"

My impression from RRSC's products of 40 years ago was that lost wax SS castings were common in aerospace and the parts were cast in stainless because that was the ferrous material most readily available when lost wax castings were desired.

(Nice looking couplers, by the way.)

I just received the pilot coupler and pocket from Dave. They are absolutely gorgeous castings! The best I've seen in our hobby.
They will look perfect on my Mikado.
Thanks for making these available.

Do you have any pilot beam coupler pockets available? There was an inquiry on this board about the Superscale coupler pocket. optigman

Hi Folks;
I haven't had these cast in several months, and with the price fluctuations in metals, I have to hold off on providing pricing until I can get in to see my foundry. I currently have waxes in process and will be getting some poured soon.

If you don't like the stainless color, I have found that Rustoleum now produces a Multi-colored texture paint that looks very prototypical. I use the Autumn brown #223523 color and put that on very lightly from a good distance away... if your spraying too close, it will build up in the moving parts and cause operation issues... stay at least three feet away and just dust the surfaces and it will look just like rust...

Please send a pm if your interested in couplers.
Thanks
Dave Bortz
