Dave: That's terrific! One can never have too many Reading A5a Camelbacks, nor K4s Pacifics. I hope the enthusiasm of we owners helped introduce the project to others. Are you, by chance, keeping one for yourself, or are you already stockpiled with steamers?

I kept back two sets to build up. One will be 7 1/4 camelback and one will be 7 1/2 rear cab version. I also want to build two heavy 1900 version Americans so I have enough parts for them with the exception of the drivers I have a pattern for the wheel but need to get them cast.

The last kit is sold.,

I may run it again if I could get at least 6 customers to make it worth doing. I could start a list.

I have to laugh - as if you don't have enough steam loco projects underway! When you assemble your Reading A5a CAmel, I hope you post pictures of the detailing. So with the K4s, 1361, these two 0-4-0 switchers, a pair of 4-4-0's, where does that put the CNJ "Mike" in terms of rolling out?

I have no steam locomotives being built in my shop at the moment. Just working on safety valves and injectors starter valves and other Mercer products.

I should have mentioned I plan on using the same cylinders and valve gear for the 4-4-0 so I'll do them all at the same time. For the 4-4-0s it is just a matter of the frames lead truck (which I already have) and boiler same tender trucks with slightly different tender.

Are you planning a similar 4-4-0 casting kit in the future? I'm sorry if I missed the announcement elsewhere.
