Hello all,
Just like the title says, I'm looking to buy a ready to run Conner Beam engine. 7 1/2" gauge. I live north of Nashville Tennessee by about 30 miles and do attend the Mid South Live Steamers spring and fall meets. Im willing to travel a little ways. I've contacted Matt Irwin (Bill Conners grandson) and am waiting to hear back from him on if he knows of any for sale. I just missed one on DLS a few weeks ago, just my luck. Just wanted to put my feelers out and see if I came up with anything. Oh, I also contacted David Phillips but his wife told me he was in the hospital, not looking too good.

The one on DLS was Dave Phillips' engine and Matt Irwin was selling it for him. It looked pretty shabby unfortunately. Probably better that you did not get it if you want something that just runs. My experience with DLS is that engines that look run down are often mechanically very run down as well and require a lot of rework.
