1½" Scale Cylinders - Piston Valve ****SOLD****

Up for sale is a pair of cylinders castings for a 1½” steam engine. The material is cast Iron. The cylinders are currently bored and faced to the dimensions listed below. The mating faces have been machined and the bolt holes have been spot-faced. Additional machining will be required to make these cylinders operational.

Valve liners and drawings are not included in this sale.

What casting set were these from?

To be honest, I am still trying to determine that. My grandfather (Don Denzin) acquired these cylinders (either through purchase or had them cast at a local foundry) at least over 20 years ago. I believe his plan was to convert his 1½" scale little engines Atlantic from slide valves to piston valves but never got around to it. I now own that engine and have no complaints of the slide valves so I am going to stick with those. I also have 5 steam engine projects that are in various states of completion from his collection and hundreds of parts so I am trying to find good homes to the projects that I will never get around too.

I cannot find any marking on the cylinders either and have not found any manufacturer that has similar looking cylinders.
