COUPLER PATTERNS FOR SALE ****SOLD****

Post by Trainman4602 »

I have decided to sell the Mercer coupler patterns. I have three match plates and the core boxes. I originally developed these in 1984 selling over 10,000 pair over the years. I always made them from manganese bronze for strength. To my knowledge not one was ever reported broken.

I get request for them all the time so anyone that would buy them could start selling them immediately. Along with the sale I would give permission in writing to use the phrase the originally Mercer coupler. I have sold these worldwide and thousands are still in use today. I can visit any club in the country and find an MLW coupler in use there.

They are mounted on match plates and set up for automatic molding machinery. They could be re mouted on standard style match plates. The asking price is about what it would cost to make the patterns from scratch by a professional pattern shop

Selling them because I am downsizing somewhat concentrating on the safety valves, starter valves and check valves.

I am asking $4000.00 for the patterns and core boxes.

PM me please if interested Thank You Dave
