A little history first. My father and I found this locomotive at a scrap yard about 5 years ago. What we found was the chassis (which was in pieces) a very old and corroded out boiler, and a box of parts. We picked it up for very little money thinking that we were going to make an electric outline steam locomotive out of it. Once we got it back to the shop we realized that the box of parts that came with it had almost all of the valve gear parts to put the chassis back together. After a wile of assembly and some machining we were able to get the chassis running on air. lucky for us the old boiler came with it so we had dimensions to work off of for building a new boiler.
Well as you can see this is as far as i got. The reason wy I am selling is I no longer have interest in finishing the locomotive. I need to focus on one locomotive project at a time or nothing will get finished. So i decided to part with the Mogul. I have very little time as it is so its one project at a time. What you see is what you get. I have no plans nor do I know where you can get plans for a locomotive like this. Ive been basing everything off pictures i find online.
The locomotive has been ran on steam a few times out at Maricopa Live Steamers. I do not have any video or pics of that but i can demenstrate the locomotive running on air.
