1-1/2” 7-1/2 Ga. Diesel / hydraulic box cab locomotive , the Dan Patch. Modeled after GE’s first gas/electric loco (1925) this locomotive features a real Diesel engine, a 3 cylinder Perkins. Hydraulic drive has a variable forward/reverse pump with a motor on each truck, and chain drive to each axle. Engine is water cooled and has full 12v electrical. Body is aluminum with steel frame. Body and roof are easily removable for access to the internals. This unit ran flawlessly at Train Mountain in 2018. The real Dan Patch can be seen at the MN Transportation Museum in St. Paul, MN.
Also included is a riding car with air brakes and comfy seat. Brakes are powered by a 12v compressor which runs off the loco battery. You must pick up in Hudson, WI. $3500
