Got an "old tyme" loco on 3 1/2" gauge? You need these!
Hi folks. After my Kozo D&RGW trucks are released, I will be offering USMRR/ACW railroad items, including these lovely wood framed trucks featuring full details: laser cut wood framing, CNC turned wheels and axles with hidden roller bearings, and SLA printed details. As always, no machining required. Not sure on pricing yet, but they will be in the +/- $300 per pair range.
I will also be offering period-correct detail parts, such as the ACW stake pocket shown.
Reservations being accepted shortly, I will post a link to my online store. My plan is to have these available before the end of this year.
Thanks for looking. More soon.

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

A few more images to enjoy, including a full size test print of the stake pocket.

UPDATE: This project is moving to the forefront while parts for the Kozo trucks are printing.
Here is a quick snapshot of the revised leaf spring assembly. Even though it is mostly hidden, it still needs to be beautiful.

Some test prints from the new SLA machine. These are low-res proof of concept prints, the production run will look even better.
I'll fire up the laser in a day or two and run the wood parts.
more soon.

Hi folks. As you can see, the prototype model continues to be refined as new information is brought to light.
Here, I was given a small photograph that illustrates how the pedestal was cored. I was also shown the transom casting that attaches the side beams to the spring plank.
These trucks will be the proverbial "museum quality" when they are completed and offered for sale. I will run some test prints shortly and post the results.

With the help of some serious period scholars, I have heavily revised the pedestals and springs. The pedestals include the interior springing for the journals, and there is now a proper transom casting.
Enjoy!

Time for some test prints! I promise to print them in gray next time, as the black makes it difficult to see the details. The laser cut wood frame is next.
