For Sale, Front Mount Bell

Post by Brian Tusin »

I am selling a front mount bell sold by Howard Gorin. It is brand new and never mounted on a locomotive. I no longer need it. $225 shipping included.

It is 1.5 or 1.6. I’m not sure which.

Not completely, I made new bell castings. The bell is cast in real bell bronze 80% copper, 20% tin. That sounds much better then conventional silicon bronze. I had to purchase an eighty pound ingot of bell bronze. Now I need to have more cast.

Have one of Howard ‘s bells in a different hanger. Definitely has better tone.
