Hey folks. I did the CAD design and pattern work on these and then had castings run for my client. He would like to sell them here, so I'm lending a hand. 3" scale or thereabouts, available in pairs with links and pins for each.
These are not "sorta Carter Brothers", or "kinda Carter Brothers", they are Carter Brothers. Meticulously created following the real thing currently residing in a West Coast museum, they are as close as can be replicated without actually scanning an original. Cast in gray iron, and they are lovely.
Please message me and I will pass along your info until he gets some sort of online presence going.
Thanks for looking.
Chris

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

Nice looking castings!
Probably be better if you post the price also... also, might get wider coverage in the for sale section.

Re: Carter Brothers link-pin couplers
Just a word of warning; The cast iron link and pin won't stand up to being used in service. They will break due to the nature of the material.

I have heard. So far, there have been no issues. If a problem appears it will be handled accordingly.

Re: Carter Brothers link-pin couplers
If folks would simply explore ductile iron instead. It will serve perfectly well, and is just as easy to pour and machine as gray iron. A win/win situation if there ever was one.

I might be interested in a pair for a 2.5in scale bobber caboose, but definitely want to see at least an estimated price and some dimensions.
