Helen Long drawings
Can anyone help tracking down copies of the original Josslin / LBSC drawings of the Helen Long ? I have a copy of the E3 and E2 drawings ,
(Thanks John) I'm not actually sure how many drawing there would be in total.
Also looking for copies of the 1927 constructor series of the Helen Long as published in the Model Engineer, would any of these still exist or ever saved electronically ?.
I am wanting as much info as I can to help complete a Helen Long recently purchased, in New Zealand. The boiler and running gear are largely completed.

Did you try Reeves in England? They have a lot of the LBSC drawings.
There's also Blackgates and E.J, Winter.

I don't see it in any of their catalogs, but you could send them an email.
I found someone building a modified version here:

As I type this, I am looking at my "Simplex" drawings that came today that I ordered from them.
Ah never mind, I just looked and do not see any "Helen Long" plans on that page

Hi,
If you do a Google search on "Helen Long" drawings, you also get a copy of an advertising page in ME 1933 (reprinted) showing that the JAJ drawing were no 1, 2, 3, 3A and 4.
Model Engineer 1927 appears to be on offer on Ebay and the like. Some copies are for sale at Abebooks right now.
Kind regards
Jos Koopmans

The national 2.5 gauge association may still do photocopies of the construction series but I dont know if you have to be a member.
