Northern on Ebay - Scam?

Post by SteveM » Tue Apr 27, 2010 8:22 pm

Here's a 3/4" Northern starting $17,000 from a buyer in Mexico with a rating of zero:

Call me crazy, but I'm suspicious.

Although, take a look at the shot of the passenger car interior. Nice detail.

If you're serious about purcashing the locomotive I would ask the seller if you can come see it. What's a couple hundred bucks for a plane ticket if you're spending that kind of money. If he says no, then I wouldn't buy it. I do have to say that passenger car is remarkable!!!

Yes, I did a double take and had to remember that it's 3/4" scale!
