Hi All,
I'm after a pair of 3.5" bogies for a bum car. One should have a hand brake or similar.
Please PM me or email me at josh_3801 (@) hotmail . com

Hi Josh
Please pardon my ignorance but what is a bum car? A car that bums (hoboes) ride in, or a car that your bum rides on?

Hey mate.
Bum cars are what we Aussies call a riding trolley.
A car for your bum.

Hi,
I turned up exactly nothing.
4 spammers who didn't know what a bogie was. and 1 serious offer, who I replied to but never heard from again.

G'day mates:
Look at the thread in this section
"3.5" gauge machined trucks" (that's what we call bogies here in the States).
It will give you a couple of good leads.
Jim Abrams (a fellow club member) does a very nice job.
I know Joe Tanski, but have never seen his, but everything else he does is excellent, so no reason to expect anything else.
Both are very responsible folks to do business with.
Cannot imagine anyone not knowing what a bum is...oh well...

Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: Wanted: 3.5" gauge bogies
I use a set of adjustable trucks from OS in Japan... (3 1/2", 4 3/4" and 5") I did a quick check, and they're still listed on the website.

My trucks are set for 4 3/4" gauge, even though I'm using a 3 1/2" gauge loco, as on a dual gauge track, it gives me a little more stability...
They also offer a brake kit...
BTW, they use the word "kit" but everything is machined, and just needs bolted together...
Hope this helps.

Bill Morewood designed trucks for 3.5-in. gauge riding cars.
The plans and castings (side frames and bolsters) are available from Joe Tanski.
Here are photos of the one of the trucks:
