"SOLD" ---- RGS20 RTR

Post by Postwarbob »

Just arrived for a little maintenance work. Ready to Go !!!!This beauty was completed 2 years ago and has very little run time on it. It has a RR Warehouse double piston axle pump which on its own will keep the Knox boiler happy and full. As a second source of water it has 2 of Barrys (SUPERSCALE ) Chicago Style injectors. As a 3rd backup it has an electric RV water pump operated by a rechargeble 12 volt dry cell battery. The brakes are air operated and have a really neat small and compact unit that fits in the coal bunker spot. The brake valve is another masterpiece by Bodemann. The brake system also features an air pump (I Think its a Heim) All steam valves and check valves again are the best built by Superscale. The headlight (operational) is from RR Warehouse. This engine is Propane fired for easy operation. It has 18 Solar Flow burners.(Plenty of heat)There is a 7 Gallon propane tank in the tender. The cab is all steel from Loco Parts. This engine has operated at GGLS track ,Portala Valley , Bitter Creek and Train mountain. Reason for sale is the owner has health issues ( Bum Back). Most of the controls are located at the front of the tender tank , making this engine easy to operate.
Price is 26,500.00 . Delivery in California is possible. Can also crate and ship. Thanks for looking .

The Golden Gate Live Steamers has purchased this engine and has also contracted for a second one that is being finished at present. The idea was to have 2 identical engines ,so for the operators of the public train it would be easy operating either engine since basically they are both the same . So far it seems to pull the public train very well. Glad its going to be run here. Very nice engines.
