The thumpeta thumpeta noise is indeed due to a lack of air. The kero is snuffing out and re-igniting multiple times per second, causing the thumpeta. It's suffocating itself. An oil burner that does not have enough secondary combustion air also tends to be finnicky because if it's just a little too lean, it will get sucked out because it's already starved. Allowing more air in the firebox will make it easier to operate in addition to cleaning up the noise. This is typically a firebox setup issue and not a burner issue directly.

I've been run my one inch Atlantic for over 20 years with this burner.
It has never failed me to work perfect every time.

Will Campbell graciously allowed the IBLS to publish the installation and operation instructions provided with the Bagley Oil Burner.

I attempted to reach "Bagley Oil Burners.
I went to this site... looks like nothing changed since 2013 here:
http://ibls.org/mediawiki/index.php?tit ... Oil_Burner

I've sent e-mails to this address:
mrstraingod@yahoo.com

And have no response.

Does anyone know how to contact them? or if they still exist?

Or perhaps better yet, another supplier of this style? (I've heard good things about it)
Or a good alternative.

I'm building an Allens Ten Wheeler, and am not on air yet so there is no rush, I'm just trying to get and stay ahead.

Thx for anyhelp.

Post Script:

I have received a PM to the effect that they may in fact still be in business but suffering some temporary difficulties. So In all fairness I suggest that anyone looking for the nozzles be patient and/or perhaps post in the wanted section as there are those who may have some for sale.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm in need of one of their burners as well. Anyone have any luck contacting them lately? I've reached out multiple times with no success.

I have also called and emailed numerous times in the past few months with no reply at all. I would like to buy a Bagley Burner if possible. Thanx for attempting to get in touch with them and letting us know. Richard
