More On Frogs

Post by RONALD »

I goofed for my two previous posts, I looked back in my files, and grabbed the wrong drawings; "Haste makes mistakes."

It was 2001 when I made this pattern, so I had long forgotten the details; yes, it is not self guarding.

The correct drawing is attached below, along with a photo of the pattern and also of the rise to protect the frog point from damage. There is a cross section for frogs also attached.

These and several other drawings were provided to me by Mr. Bob Fredland who was an expert in mechanical interlocking for GRS, and also at one time in the RI Engineering Department. Being retired now, he has a full size interlocking machine in his basement to run his HO layout.

Nicely done. Also like your guard rails.
