Not in the physical way. I am working out scaling a good drawing and the best way to do the "side frames", if you can call them that on a British wagon?

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

Yes, those look good, the "kiss" principle.

Hi Jim.....

Here's what a string of the Heywood wagons look like in 7-1/2" gauge. Two are just the 'flat wagons' and one has the 'top' installed.

Enjoy,

Mike

I know LMS is not the same as Welshpool and Llanfair..but a really excellent reference on UK designs can be found in the Illustrated History of LMS Wagons, by RJ Essery.
I bought a copy of Volume 2 at a flea market.

You can find volume 1 for about $10.00 from Amazon.

I don't see volume 2 for sale...but I really enjoy this book and I bet volume 1 is still very nice.

It has an abundant supply of diagrams for the rolling stock. It even has diagrams of the Axle boxes!

Thanks for the info. I have had excellent luck finding a lot of info for the various construction details of similar wagons. Between the other similar designs posted on the net and what I have garnered from the W & L wagons, I will come up with some good details and dimensions to work with. I am just getting crushed for time now as I have a part time job in addition to my full time job. I have noticed the "plank count" often referred to the height of the sides and wondered if the board dimensions were somewhat standard on most British built wagons?

Thanks, Dorin

Hey Jim. Here they are "in the flesh". The 3D printed patterns made for some very nice cast wheels.

ADK - Have you produced the spoked wagon wheels? Are they available? Did you produce the also produce the pedestals? I'm considering building some 2 axle cars and I really like your designs. Timmy
