Passing of Jon Hollahan

Post by schwinncoll »

It is with great sadness that we have lost a Tradewinds & Atlantic Railroad (TARR) family member. I have to announce the passing of our club president Jon Hollahan. As a club we have kept this private with his absence from work days and run days. Sunday night Jon passed peacefully in his sleep and lost his fight to cancer. Jon was not only a member of Tradewinds, but he was also a Florida East Coast Railway Engineer, and at one time was a Gold Coast Railroad Engineer in Fort Lauderdale. He also worked with Koster's Railroad Supply in Homestead Florida, and had his own machine shop in his garage to build and work on the trains we run at the track. He will be greatly missed by all members of the railroad. We will be having a memorial run in his honor in May if anyone who knew him would like to attend. Please contact me at mike@livesteamers.org
