Narrow Gauge Passenger car trucks

Post by FLSTEAM »

Does anyone have or know where I can get drawings for 2.5" scale swing bolster passenger car trucks? Como Roundhouse used to offer the truck castings however they are no longer in business.

John,

You might try calling the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec NG in Albuquerque and ask. They are building new ones from scratch. They have plans. Not sure if they can share.

As an aside, Como Round house was taken over by someone.

John, the Colorado RR Museum also built some replica trucks to go underneath a combine they had sitting on the typical freight trucks for decades. I believe the project was for the C&S #70 mail/seats combine.

The CRRM had all the drawings made. Whether or not they can even find them now is the question.
