stepper motors for traction motors?

Post by dorin »

Think stepper motors would work for traction motors?
Would there be any benifit to using them?

It would make an interesting challege for a controller, probably
need a microprocessor in there someplace.

Yes you could, but why would you want to, other than to be able to program to go 100 yards down the track and stop (assuming no slippage)?

I have a bag of them...different sizes...small to large. Just wondering if they would provide any benefit at all.

Does not matter too much anyway...as I have too many other projects to finish!
