Cut down the pine trees and the squirrels will go away.

Why not just install new steel rail? Squirlles won't have much luck eating that.
If it won't fit force it, if it breaks it needed replacing anyway!

Steve, replacing the rail with all steel is not an option. Too expensive for such a large area, and I'm not going to mix and match aluminum and steel rail.
