grabirons

Post by makinsmoke »

A couple of years ago I picked up some grab irons on Ebay for a deal.

I'd like to get some more to match but can't identify the supplier.

They are steel, and tad under 2" wide.

The package has G-101-7 on it.

Does nayone know who sells these?
Thanks,
Brian

i noticed on railroad warehouse's website he list aluminum and bronze grab irons with p/n g-7015 and g-7017. the numbering style seems about the same, maybe they were an earlier version?

Those are going to be Bob Pederson's at Railroad Warehouse...

I have dealt with Bob several times and he is a good person to deal with. In fact, that's the same way I started with him. I bought reef end castings off eBay back before he really got started with RRWH....

Is the price in the first link correct? $25 for one grab iron with screws and a quantity of 8 minimum? That's $200 for eight grab irons. Shouldn't that be $2.50 per?

Twenty-five bucks! Yep, pretty pricey. I would only be interested in some grab irons, not buying the foundry too.

If you look, he was asking about the steel grabirons, which is the second link. They are $2.
