Hi,

the cars are looking very good.
Congratulations also to the kids how made a good job on the cars.

I just finished 3 skeletons in Fn3 scale. In 2"-scale, I prefer disconnects to haul logs.

Gerd,

I saw your disconnects and almost used your design for the log chucks, to keep logs from rolling off. That was the hardest part of the design process, what to do with those. I had already started with the rails when I saw your adjustable ones and nearly switched.

I do have one set of disconnect trucks I built long ago and love them. My log train is now 14 cars: one disconnect, six skels, one converted flatcar with bunks, four bolt cars (used for firewood and not to scale, just utility) one supply boxcar, and a logging caboose, the last making its debut at LALS as well as a new paint scheme for the boxcar.
