Guys,
What about the glad hands? Is there an good economic solution? If the lines don't break on a car seperation then you missing an important in the automatic process. Can you use rubber hoses like on a vacuum system or will the positive pressure blow them off?

I use QD from SCUBA tanks. The female part is held with a clamp made from 1/4" aluminum so the locking ring can be moved, actually, the internal part moves to uncouple the male part when the cars separate.

One could do the same thing with quick disconnects for compressed air. I'm guessing the scuba QD's are not that cheep. I plan on using airline quick disconnects when I get around to making my cars.

Are those the ones that are for sale on DLS? What's the operational lifespan been on the O-Rings? Have they ever let go without a train separation?

No these are not the same ones, these are offered by a friend here on the west coast.
they are cnc machined and completely interchangeable. (NOT interchangeable with the units listed on DLS)

I have been running then for four to five years, and only time i had a problem with disconnection with out train separation is if the hose is a tad too short and comes in contact with the couplers.

info can be found here https://www.facebook.com/KelsoMachineWorks
if you do not do face book, PM me i will forward contact info

Please let me second the request for video.

Wish the guy who makes these would do a website.
