3D Printing of Journal Box Detail

Post by doublereefed »

Is there anybody offering 3D printing services on Chaski? I have a 2 axle 1 1/2" scale battery powered diesel. The frame sides are flat slabs. I have a simple dimensioned drawing for what I'd like to have printed. The part would be about 1 1/2" width x 2" length x 1" height. I will need 4, maybe 2 extras for spares (derailments, etc.) The part is purely cosmetic, it the journals don't carry any load. It's a pencil sketch. I'm not sure of the process, but my guess is a 3D CAD file would need to be created, then printed.

Best,
