Wiring a china drum switch

Anyone wired up one of these switches?I have a friend that has a 2hp lesson motor on his lathe and wants to reverse it,has no diagram of switch or motor!

Some of these motors, see "CC" on that emblem , are not made to run in reverse. I had a post or thread here about drum switches. I was wondering if the newer were any good as compared to different manufacturers of different ones. You can't blame the switch unless it is a reversible motor.

The photo of the motor tag you posted clearly shows the wiring diagram and states it's a reversible motor. Just swap leads 5 & 8 to change rotation.

Super. The dotted lines are jumpers. I never found my diagram but yours is fine. How does the quality of that switch look to you? Were they skimpy on copper?
