I started watching a video on a 1-micron air bearing lathe/grinder tool. That looks like it will take me a while to digest. 0.00000004" is one micron, if I did the math right. And I thought a "few tenths" was good

i think you got a few too many zeroes. 1 micron is about .0000393701 Or .4 tenthousanths.

TY. His video said if was 40-millionths of an inch. So it is 4 hundred-thousandths.

Thanks for the Dan Gelbart link. I watched all 18 episodes and found them quite useful. The water jet machine looks like a very useful machine. I didn't know how air bearings worked, but now I do. I also enjoy watching the Suburban tool videos.
