Now we can take back any nice things we said about him.

Well, I have egg all over MY face for sure. The obituary had the name and city, and someone mentioned model engineering in the comments, but maybe that person was also mistaken.

My apologies to Jose and I'm glad to hear he's alive and well.

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

While it is board policy to leave threads intact, I am of the opinion that this one should be deleted, as it now appears that it isn't founded in fact. I'll leave it for a day or two, but eventually it will be eliminated.

No, I haven't heard from Jose. I may never.

Don't sweat it. There's a quote from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar about the good of a man being interred with his bones. If there is anything positive to say about someone better to hear it while they are above the sod.

There are likely many J.R. (the name), but not as many as John Smith.

This reminds me of the episode of Hee Haw's "The Culhanes" where Junior Samples hid behind the couch and sent Grandpa Jones a ransom note.

RIP My Butt !!!!!
I had no idea at how hard is to raise small kids. WOW !!
I take my hat off to all women that raises her kids alone, God must be helping them as He is helping me.
I'll be 71 in 20 more days, what a blessing, but old age pains and all the "goodies " that go with are at work with me.
Is is not for my buddy John Morgan from Montana, I would had never know that you good people still remember me.
I have not done machining worth showing since May 5th. 2011 when I lost my daughter.
Facebook and politics have absorbed all of my free time and I am loving it because in 48 years living in the US, have been a learning things that I did not know because I had no interest.

I had a quick text-chat with Frank Ford and apparently he has is is closing shop.
I am going to try to post again.
Thank you guys for remembering me !! :-)

Welcome back Dear Jose ! I guess I will drop the "dear" part now. I guess your middle name isn't Fernandez but he got a R.I.P, from me. He was too young to be you anyway. Glad you are with us . The first time I voted was for Reagan also.
