But what are you afraid will happen? What's the worst case? Maybe you loose your photos like what happened to me when Cox decided to take away their "free web site and 10GB storage"? I had quite a few photos up there linked from many different forums. But no big deal, I had multiple local backups, so the "worst case" scenario happened, and the biggest inconvenience was folks emailing me because they wanted to see the images that disappeared. So I dug out everything and started hosting them on another free site (forget what it was called "pic tiger" or something like that?), and it got swallowed by another popular photo focused site, so things kept working (and still do), so all is good with that. I then started using Google most recently, just because I use and like a lot of the other Google products and already had the account. My son uses Drop Box. For personal identification related info, tax info, or private photos of your honeymoon/anniversary/girlfriend visit to the Poconos or Hedonism II and so on, probably not a good idea (but unless you run for office, unlikely to ever matter to anyone). And there may be some concern should you post second amendment items and other things that could be turned against you at a later date, particularly by unnamed government agencies. But random photos like this asking for suggestion or advice, or to show off some new gadget you made, share a chart you found, and so on; well there is really no risk that I can quantify. The information likely found on my email servers (POP/SMTP/IMAP/etc, usually operated by your ISP for most common "home" accounts) and content posted in these forums is almost certainly more useful in causing me harm than anything found in my cloud file storage. And it makes life on the web so much more convenient...JackF wrote:Call me a worry wart but I just don't trust these hosting sites. Maybe it's just the owners of the sites I don't trust.

Re: Tilt Table
No idea what to suggest on OSX, I'm not a fan, but there are likely free and/or open source photo editing programs that will provide the basic editing and conversion functions. I use Pain Shop Pro 7 in my Windows VMs.

Re: Tilt Table
Thanks spro. I looked up LW Chuck and the shape is similar but that is all. This tilt table has no spindle and no gears at all. Just the round base with º markings and the tilting top. I'm sure the top plate with mounting holes was added and is secured by 4 SHCSs. The plain base looks to be added also or is a replacement for the original. I am going to take some pics with my phone and see if that will work better.

Re: Tilt Table
Yes. When the top plate is removed, there is a circular plate which would be mounted to an internal spindle. There are some tapped holes on the side of the casting which align to another casting. With the top plate off and adjusted to 0 or 90 , you should see if it has a hollow spindle. Looking forward to the new pictures.
Edit: "No spindle at all" . Okay. Just looking

Re: Tilt Table
BTW we are on parallel yet different threads by your "posting pics" question. Russ has pounded out a lot of info about this, just for us. I want to acknowledge that as we should. I'll be in same position and refer back to this thread for that info.
Re: Tilt Table
Russ, just noticed your reply. Yea, that's about it. I just like things on My computer and backup discs.

Re: Tilt Table
I know this is getting old but I am trying a free photo manipulator and will try to upload again. Hope this works.

Re: Tilt Table
This table is a home/shop made composite/collaboration.
Its based on the nodding(fore/aft) mechanism from a Tree vertical head.

Re: Tilt Table
Thanks Wally, it does look similar. I will have to take a closer look.
